HUGE COIN CONSIGNMENT -
LIQUIDATING $2 MILLION ESTATE ALONG WITH NEARLY $1
MILLION IN OTHER CONSIGNMENTS Designed to promote coin collecting by putting fun and joy back into the hobby. --One of our clients has consigned to us a fascinating and large accumulation of U.S. and Foreign coins. This big assortment includes a huge range of U.S. coins. Almost everything from circulated colonial of the 1700s, assorted type coins of the 1800s as well as nearly complete multiple sets of Franklin Halves, Morgan Dollars, Peace Dollars, Early Gold Coins and Commemoratives. It appears that this dealer not only knew quality and value, but he offered just about anything and everything. There are also hundreds of fascinating foreign coins that are rich in art and history. These range from Ancient Greek and Roman coins as far back as 2300 BC and the Medieval period to the 1700s, 1800s, and early 1900s as well as WW1 and WW2-era. This outstanding group comes from over a hundred different countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. This massive inventory was inherited from the consignor's father, a deceased coin dealer from out of state. Nearly all of these coins are in self-sealed 2"X2" protective see-through holders with retail prices marked on them from early 1997. This wonderful inventory consists of nearly $2 million dollars worth of correctly graded coins and the former owner was very fair in terms of both grading and pricing. We are picky graders ourselves, and have not had to re-grade a single coin out of several hundred we sampled! Almost all of these coins are "raw", meaning these were not placed in hard expensive plastic slabs by expensive grading services. Thus, they are priced right yet conservatively graded. We of course guarantee their grading with a lifetime repurchase guarantee and a 14 day return privilege. There are approximately 40,000 coins in this group averaging in value at around $50 each, although there are many in the $1 or under range as well as many in the more rare $100 and over range. According to the family who consigned these, most coins were priced at about 20% BELOW official 1997 Red Book and 1997 Krause Book values or at around Coin Dealer Newsletter wholesale "ask" prices back in 1997. Now that we are at the year 2000, many of these coins have gone up about 20% or more in value! To catalog and list all of these coins individually would cost a lot of time, resources and money. Due to the work involved in such a massive undertaking, we would have to charge at least a 15% commission to both sellers and buyers. Instead of doing this, we are going to offer these coins in the form of "Surprise Packages" and "Value Investment Lots" and pass the savings on to the general public. Our aim is to increase interest in coin collecting by bringing back the good old-fashioned thrill-of-the-hunt. Through offering these real bargain packages instead of only specific coins in pre-packaged or individually slabbed coins, it gives both members and non-members a great opportunity to find their own real treasures. You can either order the "Ultimate Surprise Packages" where you let us choose the best values or the Tailor Made Surprise Packages, depending on how many choices you make from the list below. Although we cannot guarantee specific dates and mints, you can, if you wish, do the following:
